Verse 1:
Its funny how sometimes we feel
There's something great about
This life
All the grace and love
You've given us
And the One
Who gave His life for me
Chorus:
Welcome home Jesus, come on in
Make my heart your home
Welcome home Jesus, come on in
Make my heart your home
Verse 2:
When I think about how long
It took me to realize
That all He wants
Is for me to let Him in
And change me from within
And turn away
From living for my own pleasure
Bridge:
Please live in me and walk with me
Be there when I need You most
Anything that I can do
Fails to compare to what You do in me
When God created us, we were given the freedom of choice. God never forces Himself upon anyone, but He longs to have a relationship with each one of us. In the book of Luke, Zacchaeus had heard about the many miracles Jesus had performed throughout the area. When Jesus came to Jericho, Zacchaeus wanted to see Him. He was a very short man so he climbed up in a tree to get a better view of Christ. When he saw Jesus and recognized that He was the Son of God, he immediately invited Jesus to come into his home and into his heart. God is waiting for us to open the door to our hearts. The only requirement is that we ask Him to come in.
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me." Revelation 3:20
