"Actually, 'Surrender' was my life story. It was from my journal, when God had seemingly taken all my dreams away from me. That was the time in my life where I didn't know if God was going to give me anything back. It felt like He took my dreams and He was going to forget about me'that's what I honestly thought. The song is a cry to God, 'I don't know what you have for me.' But all I heard Him say was, 'Surrender. I promise I'll take care of you.'
