Lazarus lay silent, slipping towards his grave
Helplessly his sisters, stood broken by his pain
Their last hope was a message, bound up in solemn prayer
Jesus please come quickly, our brother needs you here
Lazarus lay dying, fighting for every breath
But Jesus said this sickness is not unto death
He said, "glory to the Father and glory to the Son
My Lazarus is sleeping, but I will wake him up"
Mary and Martha were grieving
With the hour glass slipping away
But with Jesus, His timing is everything
So they led Him to the mouth of the grave
The Son of man was weeping, as the blood and water flowed
The life and resurrection cried loose and let him go
And I was just like Lazarus, silent in my grave
Until Jesus came and found me, and rolled the stone away
