The sun sets, the clouds glow pink ' the soft sand, light brown


The crashing of the waves ' moves into the background


Of my thoughts which drift like paddleless boats never seen again


The tide that comes in different ' got me wonderin'





If tomorrow things were different- the clouds begin to part


Could the crashing of the waves ' match the beating of my heart


I want to swim right off the coastline- to the middle of the sea


And let desires of the ocean- come and carry me





Every night- I can't wait for the morning,


I can't wait for another sunny day.





And when I


see the beauty of creation


It sends me to anticipation


Of a beach in perfect harmony


With my soul ' that's where I long to be





As I sit here thinking will these waves one day stop


Will the beach I fell in love with disappear just like the mmm-bop


Will I start to understand more, where my searching wants to end


If there's beaches found in heaven, then why do we pretend'
