Dark times shed light on who we are
This life takes away with no regard for the pain
But still, we stand side by side, digging graves from the morning to night

Why am I constantly drawn to a light hidden from my sight'
Such irony I hate to see in this life!
But if love prevails in darkness, it proves there is light.

Such a peculiar fate is this: That love should exist
For a double edge it claims: When we lose, does love truly gain.
So the questions arise: How was love conceived' How is love accounted for if the "fit" survive the "weak"
For death finds us our readiest when we find the will to love
And neither condition, nor consequence can make us give it up...

Watch me sell my life for a brother at the lowest price.
Watch me stand and fight, though the danger's strong - because I know it's right.
They told us "we're all just accidents" but why do our hearts scream when the strong oppress the weak'
If not by love in our veins, so purposely

"Cold and calculated heart of stone - Usurp the weak and subjugate the world below"
Is it chance we call this a wicked role and warn our brothers it's a path where one should never go'
I'm not built from the mold they've told. We've been built for the light, though sometimes the darkness hides our sight...

Such irony I hate to see in this life!
